Life Income Plans & Charitable Trusts
Charitable trusts are a way to make a significant gift to Cornerstone while also receiving income for yourself or your loved ones. These options allow you to support students today while planning wisely for your financial future.​​​​
Charitable Remainder Unitrust (CRUT)
What it is: A CRUT allows you to make an irrevocable gift of cash or appreciated assets. You (or another beneficiary) receive a variable income stream for life or for a set term. When the trust ends, the remainder goes to Cornerstone.
Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust (CRAT)
What it is: A CRAT is similar to a CRUT but provides a fixed, predictable income stream for life or for a set term.
Charitable Lead Trust (CLAT)
What it is: A CLAT provides Cornerstone with an annual income stream for a set number of years. At the end of the term, the remaining assets return to you or your heirs.
